Hello all!
My name is Priyanka and I am a freshman at UMBC pursuing Interdisciplinary
Studies. When I think about home, I immediately think about my cozy, relaxing house
in Ellicott City, Maryland. However, as I have gotten older, I have come to
find a sort of solace in art. I often keep a pencil and sketchbook in hand, and
I’ll even venture to museums like the MOMA for inspiration or examples of
outstanding craftsmanship. I may not be at my house as much anymore, but at least
doodling brings me the same comfort as being in Ellicott City.

Art is so powerful that it can help us travel to any space or place like in your case.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea that what makes you feel at home is not a place or being with certain people but when you draw.
ReplyDeleteBeing so attached to art, I also love the sense of confort that I feel when I'm in a different world with my art. It takes my mind to so many places. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIts interesting that you can find comfort in something most people would find small and just an activity. Art is very comforting and relaxing and this is all you need to feel at home. Drawing is something you really enjoy doing and its awesome that its such a major part of your life!
ReplyDeleteI really like your view on home and I admire your passion for art as well. Not often do people find something that they have a passion for and I think its nice that you found something that works for you. Also I really love the MOMA, It one of my favorite museums to visit!
